| We have been fighting the outsourcing of our jobs
through runaway productions for decades. Now that the general
public is aware of and sensitized to the problem of outsourcing
we have a unique opportunity to marshal them to support the
American film industry. We can reach out to all those people in the Carolina's who
were denied the economic benefits of the 90 million dollar
production of "Cold Mountain" because it was
outsourced into Romania's economy. We can reach out to every
American who is concerned about outsourcing. We need to find
ways to help them distinguish American made movies from
"outsourced" movies. One tool is the "Made
in USA" Standard. Here's an example
of advertising that violates the spirit if not the letter of
the law.

While still Calling for Boycotting individual
films let's put the industry on notice that we will support US
film workers by looking for the "Made in USA" mark.
What Can I do?
One thing you can do is use a signature file for
your email with the Made in USA message. Every message you send
will remind people of the runaway production problem.

Email The Motion
Picture Association of America - tell them you are going to
look for the "Made in USA" mark when purchasing their
members entertainment products. Here

in USA" Standard.
